You’re right, I really don’t have a lot to say this time, hahaha! We pretty much said everything yesterday. It was really wonderful to see all your smiling faces again. And little Parker is sooooo big! Too bad I couldn’t talk to Zach, Brittany and Jason, but maybe next time they’ll be able to skype in (now that you you guys are getting so many devices!!!) We had interviews from President Fluckiger this weekend and it went really well. Truly President Fluckiger is a both inspired and consecrated man. It’ll be really hard to see him leave. For P-day today, me and Elder P_ and 6 other missionaries went to Pizza Hut’s all you can eat pizza and I must say it was a mistake……I feel terrible……I never want to eat ever again…..But, I will try and finish this letter.
1. How do missionaries listen to music in your mission?
Most missionaries use some kind of mp3 player with a small screen. That way they can switch music out really easily. Ipods are really annoying in that respect actually. Sometimes, you’ll get lucky and your house will have a portable DVD player that you can use with a flash drive to play music, but it’s also pretty annoying. MP3s with a fair amount of memory on the mission are definitely the way to go.
2. What are you allowed to do on the internet?
Not too much. Email the president, email family and friends, anything on lds.org.
3. What additional responsibilities does a District leader have?
I’m not district leader right now, but a district leader has to direct the district meeting, make district goals, make follow-up calls every night to the rest of the district and then call the zone leader and relate the numbers of the day. There are a few more things, but it’s mostly that.
4. How often and where do you meet for District meetings?
We meet every week unless there’s a zone meeting. Zone meetings are once a month.
Love you all! Have to go!
